Gulf Coast Youth Football Association, Inc. (GCYFA) was founded in 2009 under the leadership of Mr. Ty Steele. Since that time, GCYFA has strived to provide youth a place to learn, grow and enjoy the sports of football and cheer.
Our mission is to develop our youth into strong young men and women that will become the backbone of our future community through lessons of sportsmanship, leadership, respect, integrity, commitment, and loyalty.
Our volunteers are parents, community leaders and fans who have a desire to create a positive impact in the lives of youth.
In 2018, GCYFA became an affiliate member of world renown American Youth Football (and Cheer) Conference. The AYF/C is the largest youth football & cheer organization not just in the United States, but across the world. AYF/C provides our youth with an opportunity to play on a regional and national level.
The youth that participate in our program are student athletes and we strive to impact them not only on the field but in the classroom. Our youth are students first and foremost and all of our staff, volunteers, and coaches enforce our academics policy to ensure that our youth take school seriously. In addition to athletic recognition, participants are recognized for excellence in and outside the classroom.
